Algebraic Geometry

I made it through the first two chapters over spring break and then stalled, which I want to record honestly rather than quietly abandon.

The sheaf material is where it stopped being a book I could read linearly. Up to that point every definition had an example attached that I could hold in my head. After it, the examples are the theory, and I did not have enough commutative algebra to see them.

What I would tell myself before starting: read Atiyah-Macdonald first, properly, doing the exercises. I skipped that and paid for it.
